A Fresno Superior Court judge on Friday Feb. 26 gave former Fresno City College quarterback Emmanuel Lewis another time extension to prepare his defense against drug charges.

Judge Jonathan R. Conklin gave Lewis a general time waiver, ordering Lewis to appear March 19th for pre-prelim and prelim setting as appropriate.

Lewis agreed to maintain the general time waiver, which gives the court additional time to proceed with the trial without a dismissal.

Lewis’ attorney, David Washington, told The Rampage that he did not have any statements to share at this time and added that his client would not be available for immediate comment.

Police arrested Lewis on Dec. 10 after a four-month investigation that involved the possession and solicitation of illegal drugs.
