On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the Associated Student Government met for its weekly meeting. Here are a few of the key issues discussed: — Fresno City College students who wish to volunteer to sell Kids Day newspapers can sign up at the front desk in the student lounge, located inside the cafeteria. Volunteers from all over the Central Valley will hit the streets again Tuesday, March 9, for Kids Day, marking the 23rd year of raising funds for Children’s Hospital Central California. The project is co-sponsored by The Fresno Bee and ABC 30. The deadline for students to register is Feb. 18. — Any students absent for Fresno City College’s first Club Rush event earlier this month will get a second chance to join a club on Feb. 24. Any club planning to participate in the second Club Rush must sign up to do so by Feb. 11. — For the first time in nearly 20 years, the Fresno City College campus will host a dance: the Masquerade Ball on April 16, in honor of the campus centennial. ASG invites all students and faculty to join them at the ball, scheduled from 7 p.m. to midnight inside the FCC cafeteria. Tickets cost $30 per person or $50 per couple and can be purchased at the campus’ business office. Students must age 18 or older to participate.
